My Regrets: Smartie is one of my first regrets as a rat owner – I just didn’t know how to handle him. In retrospect I know his aggression wasn’t his fault. If only I’d had a rat support network back then I might have been able to give him a better life. At least I realised this quickly and rehomed him to someone more knowledgeable about “problem” rats.
